Konferencen er desværre aflyst

Vi ser os desværre nødsaget til at aflyse konferencen på grund af Covid-19 situationen. Baruch Krauss og Lene Vase har begge givet tilsagn til at finde en anden dato og vi håber at kunne tilbyde konferencen igen inden for det næste år.

Videnscenter for Børnesmerter er stolte af at kunne invitere til en hel dag, med oplæg fra 2 af de førende eksperter inden for området. Baruch Krauss fra Boston, USA og Lene Vase fra Aarhus universitet vil dele deres store erfaringer og forskningsresultater med os.
De har begge fokus på brugen af nonfarmakologi samt placebo og noncebo når børn og unge skal gennemgå smerte/-angstfulde procedurer. Oplæggene vil blive afholdt på engelsk.


Dr. Baruch Krauss – Boston (USA) 
Baruch S. Krauss is a pediatrician and emergency physician at Boston Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He is an international expert on the pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of acute pain and anxiety in children.

Dr. Krauss’s research and educational interests include the pharmacological and non-pharmacological management of acute anxiety and pain in children and the use of capnography for patient safety monitoring.

Baruch Krauss received an MD from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and a Master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. He completed residency training in family medicine (University of Washington-Swedish Hospital) and in pediatrics (Boston Children's Hospital), and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine (Boston Children's Hospital). Dr. Krauss has been on the faculty of the Division of Emergency Medicine since 1997. He was elected to the American Pediatric Society in 2010 and received the Distinguished Alumnus Award and a Radcliffe Exploratory Seminar award in 2014.

Lene Vase, Aarhus Universitet, Denmark
Lene Vase is affiliated with the Department of Psychology and Lene Vase is professor with special responsibilities (MSO) of neuroscientific psychology and now also Doctor of Medical Science. She conducts research into the correlation between psychological and neurobiological factors, among other things by looking into how placebo factors influence treatment in clinical practice and in randomized trials.

Her research contributes to an improved understanding of how focus on the relationship with the therapist and the patient's expectations can contribute towards increasing the overall effect of treatment in clinical practice.

Behavioral Sciences at Aarhus University. However, a large part of the research behind her higher doctoral dissertation was carried out at the Danish Pain Research Center at Aarhus University Hospital in collaboration with Harvard Medical School in the USA, among others. For this reason, her higher doctoral dissertation was submitted at Health.


Videnscenter for Børnesmerter
Videnscenter for Børnesmerter er medvirkende til at sikre at alle børn og unges møde med sundhedsvæsnet foregår med så lidt smerte, angst og lidelse som muligt og at der sikres relevant smertebehandling for alle børn og unge i Region Hovedstaden. Desuden varetager videnscentret undervisning af børn, forældre og fagpersonale samt kvalitetssikring og udvikling. Videnscenter for Børnesmerter varetager behandling af forskellige og komplekse typer af smerter hos børn og unge omfattende: Behandling af akutte smerter (efter skade, operation el. lign.), behandling af cancer smerter, behandling af procedurerelaterede smerter (ved indgreb, diagnostiske procedurer, blodprøver mv.) samt behandling af længerevarende smerter.”  https://www.rigshospitalet.dk/afdelinger-og-klinikker/julianemarie/videnscenter-for-boernesmerter/Sider/default.aspx
